About WAC

The West African Collaborative (WAC) is made up of the leadership of West African national organizations in Minnesota. For now, membership includes leaders from The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo. Representatives from other countries in the West African region informally participate in our programs.

WAC works to reduce social isolation and diminish historic hostility, while building understanding among its various member groups. Its mission is to bring West African communities and organizations in Minnesota together to collaborate, build capacity, and address shared needs and visions. To do this, WAC increases the ability of the various West African organizations to create and deliver sustainable, maximum impact services to their communities in Minnesota.
